I've been following along in this thread, and after comparing the CTS3 and the iDash, they are about the same cost if you get the iDash that datalogs.

Just curious if anyone here tried the CTS as well, seems the only one I've seen used here is the Banks unit.

Only real difference as far as I can tell is product support (Obviously Banks with Banks, Edge with Edge) and the iDash doesn't come with a mount where the CTS does.

Either way, I still have a very hard time trying to justify $400+ to monitor Regens.

The Edge comes with about 40 PIDs for my MY 6.7. Truth be told, I'd rather have one big screen like that from Banks, but the Banks has more PIDs to display than the Edge. Truth be told, I won't use all of them. But for my $$$, I'm with Banks on this. I like being able to read CELs and clearing them with having to hook a separate code reader (which is a feature of both). What's nice is being able to string multiple iDashes together to monitor the vitals if wanted.

For even less money, you could use an old phone or tablet to use the FORscan app or the Torque app as well to monitor the truck.

I may have already said it in this thread, but if I were to do it again I would go with the regular iDash instead of the Data Monster and save about $120.

I guess then the question is, what does the iDash read that the Edge doesn't?

https://www.edgeproducts.com/product.../parts/84130-3

Put in your truck details under the VEHICLE SPECIFIC ATTRIBUTES and it will show about 40 PIDs.

For the iDash:

https://docs.bankspower.com/bids/fil...7L_V_79_E.html

much more than 40...

Seems neither company has an updated list for the newer trucks. Bank's newest is 19.

Yeah I thought that was kind of odd that they (Banks) don’t have an updated list for 20+ MY’s, however there are options on the 17-19’s that aren’t on the 20’s. This makes me wonder if there is something about the 20+ that they haven’t cracked yet… I still have instances where the trans temp won’t read, or the whole thing won’t power on. It’s not all the time and it doesn’t bother me much anymore… but I keep looking forward to an update that will fix this.

The Pedal Monster and Derringer (for those that it works on) all connect into the iDash and can be adjusted via the iDash. I don't think you can do that with the CTS.

No, but the Edge tuner does all the things the CTS does anyway, so I'd only need to buy the one piece. However, much like Banks, they have nothing tuner-wise for the 20+ models.

Banks idash problem

The Banks Idash i purchased and installed in late 2022 works when I first start my 2022 f250 and then goes blank after a few minutes. If I push one of the arrow buttons all I see are dashes. Banks tech support doesn’t know what the problem is. I have the latest firmware. Has annoying found a fix?

Is it the regular iDash or the Data Monster? If it’s the Data Monster, do you keep a card inserted and keep it recording? And if so, is it full?

It’s the data monster. I do not log data so I don’t have the card in the unit. I have it configured for the Ford 6.7.
