Wow, i am surprised you found a shop to do that, then again they were not shy in charging you for it. Most shops would just sell you a whole new spring pack instead of “fixing” yours.
it’s a viable fix,at least as far as spring pack fixes go.
my biggest concern is the rear rake being 2” higher than the front but I dudpect those add a leafs will settle a fair bit snd hopefully even it out to within an 1” of the front.
as long as it rides acceptable ( mainly no drive shaft vibration) then rock on.
