So I have a 2005 4.6 fuel pump wasn't pumping I just replaced the pump and still nothing
So I pulled it back out and checked voltage to the pump I have 12v to the pump when I cycle the key the pumps turns on for just a second and stops as if it already primed then nothing from there.
I still have 12v after the prime sequence. Where should I check next?
Look at the FPDM up above the spare on driver side towards front. You can roll under there and see it from below if you unwind the spare, right behind the left rear tire, round crossmember. You can also look through that right rear fender well with a mirror on a stick.
Well I got it fired up I had to bypass the drive module by jumping the connections on the drive module connector.
Then whoever had worked on it before had replaced the drive module and pump at one point and both electrical connectors for the drive module and pump where broke so I had to zip tie the pump connector so it would make connection.
I'll have to see if I can get new pigtails for those 2 connectors or tell the owner of the truck to check a junkyard to find good connectors
