still having issues with this truck. It starts, runs good lots of power, good acceleration. No codes no check engine light.
The only issue I have it has it has a flat spot at cruising speed regardless of what speed I'm at. It seems to "flutter".
I have limited access to diagnostic equipment, so am at a point where I'm thinking of changing out some parts hoping I get lucky.
Should I start with a TPS or Fuel pressure regulator? Any other suggestions appreciated.

Back again. I don't have the technology to test electrical components, and don't want to take it to a shop for a fishing trip.
Still have the power loss as load increases, it doesn't take much of a hill and it starts loosing power.
It has also now started to be hard to star after sitting for awhile, like it's not getting fuel.
Could this be a bad fuel pressure regulator, as it seems to be fuel related.
And still no codes.
A $30 DVM from Harbor Freight is a cheap tool to start diagnosing this problem. Rent a fuel pressure tester. Or if that is unobtainium in your remote area you will have to buck up and buy one. I made those investments over 25 years ago and those tools have saved me 100s of dollars and forehead height.
I am glad you are happy that your truck is running better even though you are using the wrong ICM than what the truck was designed for.
Thanks for the update.
As i will admit i do not know everything. BUT, as i have learned with other manufacturers over the years. Just because something is set in stone here in the States, doesnt mean that is how the trucks were built in Canada or Mexico. So it is entirely possible that his truck uses the grey ICM.
Heck we have a member here from Brazil i think, that has a 9th gen 150 with Dana 44s and i think a 4cyl diesel from the factory. So i dont assume much once the trucks are confirmed outside the Lower 48 lol.
