Where can I buy an inexpensive code scanner for my '97 Ranger? The code scanners I see in the parts stores are all for the EEC-IV cars/trucks.

there aren't any inexpensive code scanners for obd-II vehicles...expect to pay close to $200 for the cheapest of them. sorry for the bad news...

I have an 2006 f-250, and i need to pick up a code scanner. Anyone got any recommendations.
Do i have an OBD-II vehicle, i know a beginners question?

Got this one off ebay for about 25 bucks,,I have not used it yet, but other people have told me it works for them.

it works great, and you can turn off the check engine light with it, and veiw ALL codes your computer has ever put out...also came with full instructions and a dvd

It cost a pretty penny but this is the one everyone is recommending on the diesel threads and its good for almost all ford vehicles
