I ordered a new F-350 Lariat back in October. Finally 7 months later on May 13th it arrived at the dealer which was great as we were to head to Michigan the end of May pulling our Fifth Wheel. It did not come with the Spray in bedliner or the Fifth Wheel prep that I ordered. Not a big deal as I can get that added. As I was driving the truck that week trying to get the 1000 miles on it before we tow there was a slight humming noise coming from under the truck when I got above 60 mph. Anyway I took it back to the dealer and they have now had it for 2 weeks waiting on parts. They are saying that they have to order some kind of bearing for the driveshaft and rebuild the rear end. I am sick. I traded in a perfect 2017 F-350 with only 40,000 miles on it. When I told them that I want my old truck back it turns out that it has sold. I paid $81,000 for this truck and the dealer has had it more than I have. Sorry about the Rant!
On another note, each manufacture is having issues, unfortunately its hit and miss and if you expect a perfect vehicle of any model, you will be disappointed these days. To the original OP, I feel your pain but youre going to have to ride it out and hopefully it will work out. Better now than during your trip, right? It's going to frustrating but it will work out. Good Luck
Picked up my 7.3 Lariat CCLB, ordered in November truck back at Chapman's last week, Still on the way home. 2677 miles so far. Aside from the transmission learning a bit such as not sticking in 5 upon sudden acceleration from low speed, ramps or toll booths, which went away after about 500 miles, there have been no issues. I am satisfied more than I expected in my The dash fuel meter was about 14.6 mpg until we hit a 40 mile head wind from Missouri to Albq which by the end of the 900 mile day it was down to 13.6. Most of that about 75 mph or higher. Will hand calculate when we get home. Moved it up to 14 mpg from Albq to Tempe. Hopefully this will be the only issue you have. Probably more bad luck it was you rather than a blanket statement of 22 builds. Warranty work occurs every model year, always has and always will. ymmv
Oh, that 48 gallon tanks rocks!

Yep, this is true. My 2019 has been disappointing in some ways with early warranty issues, recalls and TSB's. Just about every issue that has been posted about on 21-22 trucks can be seen posted at some point on previous years too. Tough to say if it has become more prevalent. Luck of the draw.
Get over it! You bought a brand new truck, it does suck but thats why it has a warranty! Let them fix it and go on down the way. I would be happy it gets fixed under warranty. Could be worse, it could break on a trip, or 5k outside of warranty. 2 weeks of down time is nothing and thats for anything. I got a john deere dozer and they are backup 2-4 weeks just to look at it. That goes for every brand ram, chevy ford, etc.

No idea where you are, but is there another dealer around?
The diagnosis sounds iffy to me, something that would require the rear end to need to be rebuilt and at the same time the carrier bearing is bad.
The driveshaft carrier bearing could very well be the source of the noise all by itself.
You may be waiting for something that isn't even the cause of the noise.
The other thing is, I would probably just drive it as is until they could get a time and parts to fix it, that is if you can't take it elsewhere.
But, I still think their diagnosis may be wrong all together.
Here’s a picture of my covid queen. Left rear door on SC, 2021, bottom of left rear door. Noticed this last week. **** POOR quality control, or total lack there of.
Nice fold on door seam

Reason: Spelling
2 co workers, One buys a RAM and two weeks later the truck dies on the way to work...dealer says its the fuel pump,,,,2+ weeks later, still in the shop
The other has a new Chevy truck . about 6 months old..fuel pump failure..been in the shop over 1 week.

I wonder if that was damaged in transit and then fixed locally before you picked it up. That is really bad and quite frankly what onus is on the dealer to tell the buyer that a vehicle was damage in transit before sale?
