So my bellhousing cracked in half, I’m assuming it was my front driveshaft being completely seized but whatever I dropped it and am ready to put in a new to me one. First one I picked up from a guy who lied said it came from v10 but it was really from 5.4...so I got my money back and went and test drove a truck, gave dude a deposit and had it pulled. I picked it up today, got it home, and I’m missing both speed sensors. The donor truck is a 2000 so don’t tell me it’s some early 99 bull**** lol. ID tag is xc3p-ea don’t tell me it’s an e40od either. Please just tell me I can reuse my tail shaft housing with the sensor already on it, and I can put my other sensor in the port on top of the donor bell housing where there is just a little tag thing
I'd move this to the transmission forum. Also, I would ask a local transmission shop for advice. I really think you might should have matched years and trucks closer. Did you make any progress with your swap?
from the video, i just watched that looks like an e40od there's a guy on youtube out of Dallas tx his name is Richard crich type in 4r100 and he shows you the differences in the trans hope you get it figured out and didn't waste your time with the donor btw the 4r100 has the 2 sensors one on the bell housing and one on the tail shaft unless it is a 4x4 then the tail sensor is on the transfer case from what Richard is saying
good afternoon this trans has both the input and output sensors a 4r100 the one on the second picture on top it looks like there is only one sensor that Richard is saying is supposed to be the e40od because of the one sensor on the bell housing ..all you can do is count the spline counts and see if they match up then take the tail shafts off measure them and see if they will match up hope you get it figured out and all works well stay safe and have a wonderful afternoon
Thanks for all the replies folks. I know for a fact this trans came from a 2000 v10 f350, so it could not be an e40od.
in other news...I swapped out the sensors into the donor and went ahead with the install. TSS is working fine, but I’m getting a DTC for the OSS and the range sensor. I’m not getting power from the harness at those two sensors, which is also making me have to jump the under hood solenoid to get her started. Shifts through all the gears correctly though lol... is there a relay or a fuse that feeds power through my harness to those sensors, or am I just stuck chasing down a wire short?

The trans may of come from a 2000 v10 but that doesn’t mean it’s the right trans. That’s not a 4R100. There are no speed sensors on top and the tail. Someone installed a e40D on your truck.
