Very excited to be back in a V10. I needed to sell my prior Excursion V10 a year or two ago. I'd been looking for a clean V10 4x4 Excursion or later model 3V truck. I found one and bought it a couple weeks ago. It's a 2008 Ford F250 4x4 Lariat, supercab/shortbed combo. It has 56k miles on it and couldn't be more excited to add it to the fleet. It'll be driven occasionally as a 3rd vehicle, primarily hauling our travel trailer. I've been through so many pages of the V10 forum on here and appreciate all the awesome info there is. So thank you all for that.
Nice clean looking truck! Congrats and thanks for sharing the pics. You will enjoy the integrated brake controller with your camper. The entire rig will stop as one system.
Thanks everyone! Yeah, I was extremely happy to find it, true one owner all Arizona vehicle. Original owner used it to pull a boat and stored it in a garage, hence the low miles. It's interesting, he traded both the truck and boat into a local Ford dealer for a new Mustang.

Great looking truck. My brother has an 08 he bought new and it's been a great rig for him. Fantastic condition for yours.
And, did I notice a Town Car lurking in one of those photos?
Yep!!! 2002 Town Car. Incredible cruising vehicle. I've got four modular Ford's. 2002 Lincoln Town Car, 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1, 2008 Ford F250 V10, and a 2010 Ford Explorer V8.
Do you mind sharing what you had to spend to purchase the truck? We are looking for a V10 truck to pull a fifth-wheel and we are in AZ also (see my post at the top of the forum page today). I would love to find an 08 - 10 V10 in 2WD with Supercab and long bed. Your truck is close to what we would like, except for you have 4x4 and short bed.

Yeah, no problem. I think the dealer had it listed for $16,500-$17,000 range, I ended up getting it for $15,000, my primary negotiation point were the tires needed replaced. I was originally in the market for an Excursion but would make the switch to a truck if I could find the right 3v. I read your post, tough to find a one owner vehicle like that. My concerns mirror yours, and an A/C system can be pricey. Tires in decent shape and newer? Arizona sun can dry tires out here quickly, last 4 of the DOT will give you the week/year the tire was manufactured. Even if it's just used to help negotiations. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing the pricing info. I think you got a nice price for such a clean truck with such low mileage, even if it did need tires. The tires on the truck we are looking at are in pretty good condition. I would say at least 50% of their life left. AC systems are not crazy expensive if you are willing to accept aftermarket parts, which we are. I am more concerned about the possibility of major $ for front suspension. The rest of the truck seems to check out well.
We are also unsure how much value to place on getting a 3V vs. 2V engine. It is clear that the 3V with the 5-speed is an overall superior drivetrain, but we are wondering if it is that big of a difference for our primary purpose, which is towing a sub-10,000 lb fifth wheel. So we are kind of on the fence on whether to target only 3V engines or to grab a 2V if we see the right deal, such as the one we are now considering. We have about a year or so before we buy the fifth wheel, so we have time to shop for a truck an be selective.
