However long it takes for friction to overcome momentum. The torque convertor has some innards that would/could continue spinning briefly after shutdown I suspect.

So I removed the flex plate cover and didn't really see anything that seems wrong. Video being posted soon.
I did notice that when I put the truck in reverse the sound seems to worsen, therefore, in thinking it may be early signs of torque converter maybe?

Since the noise sometimes continues for a few seconds after you shut the engine off it is worth checking the turbo.

Yea, though the sound comes from underneath and sounds too heavy (if that makes sense) to be turbo noise. Though, I have been getting a hum during driving when I lightly let off the pedal. Once I give it throttle again the hum goes away. I'm thinking turbo, but I do have a SB Cai as well.

So I wanted to update the thread on my problem. I finally figured it out. Fortunately, it wasn't the flex plate or torque converter. It was an exhaust hanger that was rubbing/scraping against the frame rail on the passenger side of the truck. I guess my 4" exhaust finally settled after a year which caused this. So for a temporary fix I stuck two 1/4" thick felt pads that protect floors from furniture and shoved them in there. So far I haven't heard any rattles/scraping again. Such a relief as it was pretty embarrassing driving around with that loud rattle and screeching.

How to "persuade" your exhaust to stope rubbing on the frame rail.

Can you explain more in depth on this picture? Is this bending it?

Some call it massaging, others call it persuading but yes it's bending. That there is a hydraulic flange spreader hooked most likely to a "Porta Power" hydraulic hand pump.
