2006 6.0. Keep eating fan pig tails
I guess you no longer have the fan stator (inner shroud)?

Originally, there was a component (molded plastic harness support) that locks into a clip on the stator that holds the wiring up and out of the way.
Many of us have added a way to keep it up out of the way without the stator****.

**** note: no brackets were fabricated during this entire modification procedure. Only ONE hole drilled, lol.

Actually, this is a different motor. It happened on this same truck w a different motor and that motor has other issues. So, the present motor was rebuilt, heads shaved, new gaskets oil cooler heater core radiator the works.
been running great and pulling a track machine on a dump trailer up a hill and it overheats no reason. Look down and the pigtail once again gone. Ate it all right up to the truck side pig tail. It was a complete fan pigtail including the piece that locks into the fan shroud just like the last 2 have been. Mother must be blowing hard all I can say.
thinking black pipe w a couple pipe clamps on the fan side w some sort of rubber hose for a connector like cooking system then an elbow and another piece black pipe back towards the pigtail then I’ll lash the black pipe to the fan shroud. It was already expensive to rebuild this motor. This **** getting ridiculous and need the truck pulling
Tks for the info.

Their's is a stiffener to keep the drop side of the cable getting sucked into the blade. You can take a lengthof copper, Nicop, or stainless tubing of 3/16 to 1/4" diameter and use aluminum HVAC tape or good tie wraps and do the same.
