You don’t move any receptacles from the bumper, you just plug the new harness under the bed and add the new receptacles inside the bed. Then you can use either for a gooseneck or bumper pull.
I believe that if you order the camera/TPMS, but not the 5th wheel prep, they install the 7/12 in the bumper. I want to move it to the bed and use the 7/4 from the 5th wheel kit in the bumper. Sounds like there are connectors for two harnesses under the bed, so it should all work.

My truck (F250 w/o 5th wheel prep) came with the 7/4 plug in the bumper. My TPMS kit included the 7/12.
I’m the opposite. I finally removed it from my order and got scheduled the following week. That was back in January and after 6 rescheduling notifications for a total of 7 weeks, the truck got built last week.
I picked up the Ford 5th wheel prep kit for $600 incl tax and will install it myself once the truck arrives.
It would have been nice to save $100 and an afternoons work but I’m over it. This truck will be 8 months from order to delivery as it is.
aztansincc. Where did you find a puck system available to purchase?

It's on the ford accessories site. Use promo code FORD20 for 20% off. Free delivery to a dealer for pick up and you can add $250 to have them install it.
My F-350 came with the 7/12 in the bed as part of the factory installed 5th wheel prep package. The Trailer Backup Camera/TPMS package came with another 7/12 connector kit that was installed on the bumper replacing the 7/4 that was there. The 12 pin harness connector was there next to the spare tire underneath ready to be plugged in. Took about 5 minutes to swap them out. I don't have a 4-pin trailer connector anymore, but the kit also included a 7 to 4 adapter.
Perfect. I did that and was told the part was on back order Monday. Hopefully it comes back before our trip in July!
just checking to see if there was somewhere else.
thanks
I picked up mine at Fairway Ford in Ohio. I have family that just happens to live in Canfield. Go figure. Anyway, it was $600 w/tax when I picked it up. However, that $250 checkbox on the Ford site with 20% off is worthwhile. I have the means to do the work myself but it's not a job for just anybody and there were rumors of $1000+ quotes to have it done locally. Jump on that deal if you need the 5th prep!
I pulled it, and after a month had it put back on. I don't want to have to deal with the added expense to get the 7/12 parts, would much rather have the full factory installed, warranted stuff. Whether or not the truck actually makes it to production, whodahellknows.
