Well, the Tremec TKX 5 speed is in. Just waiting for the driveshaft to get done. Some issues, but, got thru em. I used the OEM crossmember and the bolts into the transmission needed to be longer than OEM, in order for the new bolts to fit in the trans mount I drilled 7/8" holes in the crossmember as a pass thru for the socket rachet to bolt them in from underneath. Can't wait to play with the gears! Special thanks to Thunderkiss1965 (Dan) and a shoutout to TA455HO (Chad). Tremec TKX 5 speed Driver's side Passenger side Holes in OEM trans mount crossmember to access new mount bolts New flywheel, clutch/pressure plate, throwout bearing.

nice! Installing one in a 66 f100 with 2.0 EcoBoost from Ford Racing.
Found a new engine still on pallet with control pack dirt cheap.
LOL, I got buckets of em for the whole frame off I did (with help). More tranny pics, but, not many as I was too busy installing and overcoming issues with install (mine, not others or AP).
How it arrived. Total failure on FedEx. American Powertrain was very helpful after delivery.
Shipping plug in tail shaft with damaged rear seal
Got all of the shipping plug out and American Powertrain sent me a new rear seal.
Because of shipping, the shift lugs were out of alignment and tranny would not shift. AP emailed me instructions on how to realign them. Very simple to do.
3.03 vs TKX. The 3.03 I swapped to a floor shift using Hurst Mastershift.
Used the OEM bellhouse, AP sent an adapter plate with the kit for bolting trans to bellhouse

You can blame the carrier all you want but that wasn't packed right if it was able to slide up against the unreinforced wall of the box like that.
Packaging was about 1-1/2" thick of sturdy cardboard and braced throughout the inside. The delivery guy to my house was positive it had been on someone's truck standing up on the tail shaft end and not on the bottom (packaging stated fragile and this side up). I opened the box with the driver there and even he says it was well packaged. So, yes, I blame the carrier on this.
What a great improvement , thats going to be fun to drive . Great job, let us know how it performs!!!!!!
So far all is great! Lot better now as I went from a 3.00 ring and pinion to a 3.73 rear gear. I knew the 3.00 would need replaced prior to. With the 3.00, 60 mph I was turning around 1600 rpm and at 70 about 1900. With the 3.73, I'm where I want to be. 60 mph is around 2000 and 70 I close to 2400. My rear tires are 28" tall. Oh yeah, burns the rear tires a lot better too!
