My 66 F100 2wd came with power steering and a cut up steering column. The 3 on the tree was converted to a floor shift and the previous owner didn't replace the column shift collar (just removed it) and the steering column is just butchered. So, I want to replace the steering column, thus my question. The tag on the steering gear box reads: SPA AB 72H 15C. Can I assume this came off a 72 Ford (72H) and I can use a steering column from a 72 F100? I am keeping the shift on the floor. Any info or suggestions would be welcome. If push comes to shove I do have a P/S gear box out of a 74 F100 I can use, but not sure of the condition as it was exposed to the weather. Thanks.
