Couple from this evening before I installed rear wheel well liners. I’ll try and get some in the sun, these make the rear windows look a lot darker than the fronts and they’re really not.
That looks great inside and out! The level of tint is probably perfect for most applications. I may go slightly darker in the back over factory, but no lighter than 15% on the fronts.

Yep, really happy with the tint. I’ve had 5% on every truck I’ve had since I was 16 (now 48), and I’m really pleased with how these turned out, don’t find myself wishing they were darker at all (was afraid I would).
Got this done this morning at "The Tint Shop" in Milledgeville GA - whom I can wholeheartedly recommend. I drove 85 miles one way to get to that shop
This is XPEL Prime XR, 50% on doors and 80% on the back glass and a 5% visor tint. This is a single layer film with 86% IR reflection rate. I am really more interested in heat reduction than a dark tint. The front side windows you can just notice the tint when you are in the truck. I wanted night vision clarity. The IR reduction works so well I had to adjust the A/C to keep from freezing on the way home. That visor tint will take some getting used to, but 5% is all they offered.
That 5% visor strip will take some getting used to.
Went to get my truck inspection done so I could get Texas plates. The inspector asked about the tint level and I said that when I had it tinted I asked for the legal limit all around and he took my word for it. I have clear on the windshield with a 5% brow. Behind the front seats it's 5% and I think the front windows are 25% or 35%. I didn't put anything on the sunroof because I want the sunlight including the UVs. I can close the cover if it gets to hot.
Meant to post update on this site too, and just realized I’d forgot to.
So I couldn’t stand not having a windshield brow, the sun was always in my eyes it seemed. I went back to the tint shop to get a brow installed. Told them I wanted the brow STRAIGHT, not bowed / curved. IMO that looks like Lightning McQueen. They brought it out and it was bowed. Said that’s as straight as they can get on the Fords (they all drive F150/250’s). I just had them pull it back off.I knew somebody somewhere can do it because I’ve seen them on the road with a straight brow.
Well, I found precut tint kits at The Tint Effect website (on Amazon too).
Ordered the 5% windshield brow that’s pre-curved to result in a straight across brow (option #1) and trimmed it to fit around the mirror and installed it myself. Totally happy with the outcome.
