I'm looking in to tinting all ( but windshield ) my windows ( bought truck with not tint or "privacy class") on my f350 CC. any one have idea what % they like ( I know what's "legal") I had a 2 door car with 35% for 7 year and no problems and loved it ( like it for looks but meanly function ) but a buddy of mine did 35% on his 4 door car and was totally different. Input would be grate pics would be even better. Thanks.
Ive got LIMO on the back 2 doors and rear glass over the factory tint of my CC . And you cant see a thing in from the back or sides and cant see if anyone is in the back if your standing in front of truck. I'll get pics later
Depends on where you live. In the great city of chicago , ANY tint on the front side windows is an expensive ticket, even when parked, and also gets you pulled over with the cops usually in the guns drawn mode when they are approaching you. You couldnt give me tint for windows over here. Just try to drive by a high school here with tinted windows and youll swear you will never make that mistake again.
on my 2011 the back are 35% from factory and had my front 2 matched! its freaking sweet
Have they lightened up the factory privacy tint? Usually 20 or close to it is factory. I think 20 is plenty dark. I had a company van for awhile that the previous guy had 5% limo tint on. It took some getting used to and backing up at night was almost blind unless another vehicles lights were reflecting off of mine. Finally had it re-done. Ive had several stories of tickets for the 5%. Better roll all the windows down if you get pulled over
I put 5% all the way around on my F250 and most all my cars as I like it blacked out. The legal tint here is 35 but I know most all LEO's here, heck i was one of them back in the days haha. But blacked out on white looks great on all my vehicles. .....
I put 5% on the rear doors and shell windows (all), 20% on the rear slider and 20% front doors. Just had my inspection done and had to peel the front doors as they put a meter on it and was at 29% for the front doors and we are allowed 43% max. I did get pulled over in CA and written for the front door tint as there is no tint allowed forward of the front seats but had a Sheriff I know sign it off for me. As for being able to see at night? Forget it, but I have a backup cam to solve that. I will be having my front glass replaced due to a TSB and scratches from the weather shields and will put 35% back on the front so I don't have to roll down as often when hunting.

Window tint is now legal in IL., but Chicago will still write you a $250 ticket for having it while parked. Good ole Chicago politics!
