I don't remember talking about having a later model intake. I have the original 03 set-up, which I prefer, but I'm saving that for the day that I get a CCV catch can. For the time being, I'm using a later model pipe that has a plugged CCV port, and yes, it is slightly larger in diameter. Still want more clearance than the 03 offers though.

It appears that the rear cooler mount is in the same place in relation to the back end, but the coolant inlet is a full inch closer to the front. So yeah, it would mean a change to the square cooler for sure, if you're keeping it stock or doing a stealth delete. I would need a square cooler to determine if an up-pipe is in order.
I don't need to worry about any of that anymore with a full-on delete. I am really looking forward to seeing how much more room I have to get to the ICP and IPR without that stupid bridge in the way. I'm thinking about removing the cooler mounting tab just for more ease of use.

1. Don't hook-up the down pipe to the turbo, you'll need to be able to move it to get the rear passengers side bolt in.
2. Cut off the mounting tab for the EGR cooler.
I'll continue to call the intake manifold the intake and the filter assembly a filter assembly. But that's just me. And everyone else in my world for the last 60 years.

More of the less the same with me. If it's before the turbo then it's air filter assembly and piping. After the turbo them it an intake manifold.
I called FICMRepair to see if they had any options. Here's their response:
Hey Chris,
As for the intake, No Limit has an option that provides more clearance for wires, but it’s not an enclosed unit. Below is some info on it.
We sell a lot of the S&B units and we just don’t hear of a lot of people having trouble with the install or wire harness chafing. Below are a couple vids of installs on the S&B. They go in fairly easy, provide high quality filtration, and while they’re not “small” they really don’t cause a lot of issues with harness compression/chafing.
