I have a 97 F250 7.3L Power Stroke. It sat for a while this winter and now it is blowing the #22 30 amp fuse that runs the Glow plug controller every time I try to start it. The wires going to the relay look fine (nothing chewed on). Could this be that the relay is bad? It's a 20 mile tow to the closest shop so I'd like to try and fix myself if possible. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for your help Buddy. It finally stopped raining here so I was able to check the fuel bowl. I see 2 wires going to it on the drivers side of the filter housing below the pressure regulator. Is it the upper wire or lower wire that you suggested disconnecting?
Thanks again!

Hey Buddy, Just wanted to let you know that I was finally able to get that fuel bowl heater wire disconnected. What a pain that was. But I guess it's been on there for 25 yrs
I taped it up, replaced the fuse and she fired right up.
I wish there was some way that I could repay you for your help. I was a day away from calling a tow and paying the Ford garage.
Thank you again!!!!
Good to hear. Glad you came back to let us know. What happened is the fuel bowl heater shorted out causing this. The heater is not needed by most and this is the quick fix.
