help stranded in bigbear

Glow plug problem, 30amp fuse blows. Could this be an glowplug relay issue

This is how you get going now. You need a 30 amp breaker not fuse. Run wires mcguyver style to the fuse terminals. Cycle it over and over and she will fire. I keep one homemade in the door when I was on the road. The problem is in the fuel bowl most times.

Fuel bowl heater element would be my guess, classic symtoms..Unplug the pigtail connection attached behind the fuel bowl and replace the fuse..

Do you have a portable propane heater to put under the engine for a while? Note to self, stuff a portable propane heater in next to Waldo...

I just want to thank you all for the helpfull information. yes the fuel bowl heater was the problem, just disconnected it, replaced fuse, truck started and ran just fine.. ONCE again FTE Personnel came thru with flying colors..
