I have a BAP truck in rapid red, I also have several XL Super Duties for work. I can assure you the front end is much nicer looking in person and not just ford “telling people it’s cool” and charging more.
ill never understand guys who get so upset over another man’s truck. I think -76mm offset wheels with thin stretched tires looks funny. But it’s okay if someone else wants that on their truck…..Maybe youre insecure about your own choice of truck so you feel the urge to have such strong feelings of other trucks.
So if you like a bunch of tacky chrome that’s fine too. That choice is there. If ford didn’t offer chrome anymore and only offered BAP I could understand your frustration. Not being able to get what you prefer would understandably make you upset……but since you can get as much chrome as your heart desires I’m not so sure why you care about someone who doesn’t agree and prefers paint matched/black lol.

Would love to love it, but the gloss next to matte just looks wrong to me. Gloss grille, with matte emblem surround, next to matte bumper inserts? Just looks like an after thought...especially the mirrors. Now, if everything was matte.....wait...it would be an XL then.

bad news I don’t really have a hatred for either so there will be no burning retinas. I think both can be made to look great. I much prefer color match/BAP but I appreciate both.
And yes there are traditionalists who have a burning flame of hatred for color matched or BAP. They “can’t wait till it’s over” etc etc. but too bad for them it’s been around longer than chrome. Ever seen a model t?? Lol

Why would I care when I won’t own it either way….and why would it fade any more than the rest of a truck’s paint?
it’s literally agate black with clear coat just like the rest of every truck including a chromed out trucks paint.
