Tried those ones too, they cancelled the order after i placed it.
The order total being so low is because i applied credit from another order which was also cancelled.
Tried buying Russells, and Sky Jackers, both orders ended up cancelled, and i ended up finally using the credit on brake rotors, which actually arrived got forbid.
Check out Crown (Krown?) for the braided flex lines, supposed to be better quality than the Russell’s that haven’t given me any issues for several years now. Be sure to get all 5 lines, not just the 4 at the calipers.
Your speaking of the 5th hose that goes from the frame to the pumpkin I assume yes?
And i found these guys, they said bring them the truck, or the lines off of it, and they will make new stainless braided heavy duty lines custom to order with any changes in length as well. https://www.tubesnhoses.com/system-l...-tubes-n-hoses

Yes, that’s the fifth hose, some earlier owners were getting prices on a 4 hose set.
I have had my Ex for 12 years now, 180,000+ miles and has been a very reliable stock 6.0L, it is used for trips and towing, I very rarely daily drive it. I have not modified the suspension but have added air bags.
We have a TT that is around 9,000 lbs and 36' long with a ProPride hitch, and that is one of the keys, you need a premium hitch for an enjoyable pull. We have 2 dogs that do not ride well so they have a cage in the back, works just fine for us.
The newest of these trucks is now 17 years old, all of them will need work and very few have low miles.
We have thought about a new truck but in the current market it is a no go but we will keep the Ex, it has been a fantastic machine.

MasterX,
We wanted to hop in about the brake hoses. We apologize for not having the hoses in stock in February. As of 9:30 AM EST today April 8, 2022, we have the Skyjacker and Russell hoses in stock and ready to ship.

Can you confirm 100% that a given set of these, I don't care which brand, will fit my ""2WD"" Excursion? After I placed the order the guy on the phone was a little confused but thought they were the right ones. Give me the guarantee and I will order them today!
Exact Vehicle Specs
2000 Excursion XLT
6.8L V10 RWD/2WD
6 Inch Pro-Comp All Spring Lift.
Thanks for all the info. I was hoping it would work but legitimate tow limits, reliability and sound financial logic won again. We ended up changing the plan and are going with a lighter trailer to pull behind our current half ton. Right now is not the time to be buying a truck. If we had known the housing market was going to do what it’s doing I would have ordered a new truck to replace the half ton, but I’m not willing to drop $85k on something I’m not 100% in on, plus not being able to get some of the tech options due to chip shortages.
Maybe some day I will get the Excursion I always admired, but not now.

Thanks for getting back to us with full details on your Excursion. We don't have a braided brake hose set to offer for your 2WD 2000 Excursion. All of the sets we have to offer for a 2000 are for 4WD only.
Most recently was an F250 6.7, 4 dr, 4WD. For pulling our larger TT. Installed a nice high end bed cap. What a pain in the ***!
Nothing wrong with the truck itself but side and rear vision was horrendous. Also everything put in the bed immediately moved to the front so either I had to use a reaching stick or climb up, into and over all the other stuff. I began to really detest that truck. For my application it just didn’t fit. NO I don’t want a fifth wheel.
A few months ago I came across a 2005 Excursion Eddie Bauer 4x4. Yes a bullet proofed 6.0 ❤️. Only 130k miles. I’m a happy camper again. 145k now and we pull mountain passes with ease.
