Good luck with that. What is wrong with the one you have, I have linkage issues on both my '65 Falcon and my '65 Econoline and will rebuild all the pieces myself. Unless you can find a source with a nice used one, you're probably out of luck. IF yours isn't missing it may be rebuildable.
The other alternative if you are not doing an accurate restoration is to go with a cable throttle assy. Lokar makes pretty much everything you need to assemble one from the pedal to the carb. They are a little pricey, but they are much better then original.
Haven't been on here in awhile but I just picked up a '67 Econoline van. The throttle linkage was pretty much non existent on mine. I had a Lokar linkage (Lokar S-1034) hanging up on a peg board. I just ordered the universal cable kit (Lokar TC-1000U60) from Speedway Motors and put the 2 pieces together. I over compensated for the amount I thought I'd need by getting the 60" length kit. The 48" kit should be long enough - I ended up with a ~42.25" length of cable and ~37.25" of the jacket when it was all said and done.
Loosen up the ball end linkage from the cable
disassemble the linkage
pull the cable by the red ball end out from the clevis side (you don't need the clevis yoke anymore)
re-insert the cable through the lower half of the ball end linkage
screw the other half of the linkage back on
route your cable
then just attach the other Lokar S-1034 linkage end to the opposite end
She works like a champ.

That was a very informative and detailed explanation on the Lokar conversion. Great pix as well. It is now on my To Do list.
You guys talked me into the easy way out, I ordered the Lokar Cable and I also am going to try the Daytona new Carb replacement I ordered that as well, I think the Carb. was 299.00.
I seem to be loosing oil, (down 2 quarts in a couple of weeks), going to see if I can find the culprit today, if it's not a simple fix I may just jump on my 200 swap sooner than I was going to. If I do the swap, I'll do all the mods to the 200 and just add oil to the 170 until I swap them out.
Update; I drove it 1102 miles and went threw 2 quarts of oil, so I checked it out today, and she doesn't seem to be smoking a bit, and there are no signs of a leak on the truck or in the driveway , running or sitting. I'm guessing she had a stuck ring and it freed up. It did sit for at least 5 years. I'll keep my eye on it for awhile before I make a decision.
Decided to pull the trigger on the Lokar conversion but when I went to order the 2 parts from Speedway shipping was $35...yikes! I checked Summit and they don't carry them so I checked JEGS and they have them both and the shipping was only $11. Thanks again for the great description and photos of how to do the conversion.
