Hi all, I have recently inherited my familys 55 ford f100. It has a 62 292 cu in motor with a Motorcraft 2v carb that was just rebuilt. The throttle linkage is broke and I'm in dire need of help to locate a new linkage connection bolt? Part of my problem is I dont know what its called. Secondly the engine is not stock, nor is the carb. Doesnt look like my free account will let me upload pics?. It's a straigh male threaded rod, with a barrel type end that has a spring loaded screw inside. This part attaches to the ball on the throttle and on the gas pedal linkage. Someone mentioned they had seen this part on thunderbirds, not sure. Check my profile pics to look at the linkage.
Thanks for any help!

Reason: Pic post
What you're describing sounds like what 8N Ford tractors used on the governor and throttle control rods.
Maybe you should see what the parts department at your local Ford tractor dealership can fix you up with. I've seen that type of linkage used on lots of old tractors, combines, stationary engines, and lawn/garden equipment.
