Timing Issue

Hey all! I’ve been having this problem and i’m hoping to avoid what i think is inevitable. I’ve done all of the timing chains and gears and oil pump and everything in the past year or so. There was a while where it ran just fine after i chased down a bad VCT solenoid. I recently had to replace the head because of a very severely broken spark plug and now it does the rough idle after warm. i didn’t use Ford phasers so i’m nervous that that is the problem but i thought i’d bring my question here first. i did a live test on the VCT timing advance and there are some times where my computer tells me that the retard/advance is at something crazy like 4,000 degrees. Does anyone know what would cause this problem? I don’t want to have to put new phasers in if it’s something different. Thanks for the advice!
