Anyone out there have a new or newer Alpine? Have a question, I believe the dealer is wrong. Thanks
This is the case a lot more than it should be... Doesn't matter if it is sales, maintenance or repairs... Also, this goes for all dealers of anything automotive or RV related.
I don't have an Alpine, but they were on our short list when we bought a Montana several years ago. Nice looking RV's. I hope you get the answer you are looking for and if you feel so inclined, ask the question now as there are several people here that are familiar with a wide range of brands and models.
Anytime 1 my battery goes below 11 volts or I remove my battery for storage I have to take part my outside control panel for the leveling system, unplug and reconnect. They said it resets it. To me seems kinda silly. Not that that happens a lot but still.
Again the simplest thing would be to just call customer support for the leveling system. You should be able to get your question answered immediately from an authoritative source. It's not anything I have been doing on the systems I have been occasionally consulting on and I have never heard of taking anything apart to reset a board, but the manufacturer will know best.
1. Remove battery for storage
2. Reconnect battery when storage is done
3. Take apart outside control panel
4. Unplug
5. Replug
6. Reassemble
. . . right?
If "yes", then I question doing this. No connection to a battery for weeks/months/hours/etc. would seem to be enough of a reset for just about anything electronic.
