A few days ago, I got a big orange display saying TPMS fault. So I scrolled on the dash to check tire pressures and it showed the passenger side, rear wheel showed no pressures. About 5-10 minutes later the tire symbol went off, the later came back on and went out again. Yesterday I got another fault notice,,,checked the tire pressures on the dash screen and now it shows the front passenger tire is not displaying pressure. Today it lights up again and both passenger side tires show no air pressure display. Im thinking its not the TPMS sensors but possibly a module of some sort.
So I bring it to Ford, get the oil changed, they check TPMS sensors and both are active and communicating per tech. OK..lets give it a little time and see if it happens again or developes a check light. . Durning the visit to Ford I mentioned that in the past my truck would go to sleep mode after about two weeks of no activity. I noticed on my Ford app that it went into sleep mode after a couple of hours of arriving home from a 80 mile drive.
So they changed out both batteries. Not one but both, even though one showed something ( not sure what ) low voltage? Wondering if a defective battery could of contributed to the TPMS sensor issues?? I guess I will find out in a few days. I like my Ford dealer. Never had to argue with the over anything, or encourage them to do more, they just fix or replace. Oil change ( 7.3L ) w/ synthetic blend, 68.00 sounds very reasonable to me. What do you pay for your oil changes at Ford?
