On vehicles with tire inflation monitor system, they usually have to be scanned if a tire is changed, a pain if winter tires are put on.
I was wondering if there is a way to make a homemade scanner and do it myself at home. Anyone done it or know how?
Thanks 87, but yes they had to be scanned. I have a reset button on the dash, and it would reset for a minute but then show a problem with the system. As soon as they were scanned all was well for good.
It only takes something less than 10 minutes to scan them, not a problem if it happens to be in for something else like an oil change, but somewhat inconvenient to take it in just for that.
So, any home built scanners out there?
