What made that happen?
We’re you gunning it too hard? Lol I don’t take you as the kind that gunns it too hard
I'm not sure what caused this to happen? My 5er weighs 18K with a tongue weight of over 5K. I do work the **** out of the 7.3 when I have to buck a head wind, climb mountain grades, merge onto traffic etc. If I had to blame it on something its letting the EGT's get to high. I have and do back off right away but have always read a short burst over is OK. I don't let any thing over 1250* happen any more. I still drive my original OBS and I used to violate EGT's a lot in that truck and it still runs great. So, your guess is a good as mine.
