Man that’s a little out of my league, I know that if you don’t hear any change what so ever, that is not good. I would check the wire harness where it plugs into the UVCH (Under Valve Cover Harness) and see if the UVCH is burnt up and then unwrap some of the wire loom on the engine harness side and see if any thing is burnt up there.
I’ll post a picture of what mine looked like a while back!
Okay turns out I don’t have any pictures but it’s a fairly common problem, the wires burning up and stopping the injectors from working there at the UVCH
@Ford Firefighter i took a gauge and hooked it in the glow plug hole. I was told it should read anywhere from 200-550 when it’s good and this one read 2 and all the others read around 400 so I think there’s one of my biggest issues. So that’s just great haha
Okay yeah that’ll cause some problems!
Do a little digging you might find it’s a bad injector or injector O-rings, that’s not too difficult to fix, even if you got an injector from a junk yard.
Is there oil in the coolant reservoir?
Sorry I just re read! New truck with bad engine.. got it.
I think what you’re feeling is just the lag of the turbo taking time to spool? KC Turbos sells a smaller AR housing that supposedly spools 2-3x faster
@Hit Man X What do you think? You have a stock turbo with a zf5 right? Doesn’t it take a few rpms to get it going?
My boost threshold in 4th is around 1300rpm. Bit higher now since manifold decided to leak again.
30.5" E codes. S5-47. 4.10:1 1.0AR turbine with stock wheel and billet compressor.
If you have glow plug compression connector still, time for a leakdown test. Could have trashed valves or seats too.
Apparently driver side likes to warp. Leaks at No8. It was loose before and I snugged down, I will do that for now until I see if new injectors fix my poor running.
If so, I will machine an OE Ford manifold or buy aftermarket. I have yet to decide.
