Gooseneck 4"offset ball

To the people that have a B&W type gooseneck hitch and run a 4' offset ball, do you notice any difference in handling? I have the Oem system and changing from a 5th wheel to goose box on our toy hauler. The plan is to gain more space between the tail gate and camper so I'm in the process off building a hitch that attaches to the puck system with about 4" of offset. Looks like the factory ball mount is maybe 1" in front of the axle so it would end up 3" behind the axle. Curious if I will feel the weight transfer. 2019 F250 6.7L 4x4 with 6.5' box pulling a KZ 305th Sportsman Sportster.
Thanks for any info
Shawn

Have you measured the Goose Box vs the oem? My Goose Box was 2.7" longer than the Mor-Ryde. If yours is and you add 4" of offset, I bet you will hit the bed with the backside of the hitch during turns. I can turn about 90 deg with the Goose Box and noticed no handling changes with the Goose Box, other than way smoother.

I run the B&W 4” offset ball with a Reese 20k Goosebox. About 3,150lbs on the pin. Didn’t notice any difference in handling, etc. using my calculator, it only moved about 80lbs onto the rear / off the front axle with the offset. Gave me the clearance I wanted. No internal bed clearance issues either. 2017 Redwood 3901MB.

I didn't know for sure, but had read where one guy said he did have issues.
