caution --check air bag hardware

First of all I want to say AirLift is a reputable Company.

I only wish they would have sent out a RECALL notice or a warning bulletin.

Looking under my F-250 Truck, I noticed the bottom bracket holding the air bad to the axle was missing.

When I call AirLift; they agreed to send me (no charge ) a new bracket and some acorn nuts with nylon inserts. The version I originally received only had one piece nuts with a serrated washer.

Upon checking the passenger side; I found I could loosen those nuts just by hand. Note ,these were all foot pound tightened as per original instructions.

I asked the AirLift customer service rep if he had others with the same problem and it was indicated that he knew of no other issues like mine.

This has to be untrue; as you will read in the enclosed AirLift update; THAT THEY PURPOSELY CHANGED THE DESIGN SPECS.

I suggest everyone who has AirLift Air bags inspect the mountings ASAP

Good thread. If I had old style, I would re-torgue / tighten them, and throw a second nut on.
