I agree. I was just wondering if there was a relay that controls the pump? If so is that saying it’s constantly at full load? Probably doesn’t make sense but I’m just trying to figure out what that is lol anyway I also agree on the batteries. I don’t know how long he cranked for yesterday when it happened but definitely not good. I drove it for 20 minutes to get the charge back up
I wouldn't do anything until the battery is healthy, then go from there. I had a battery drop down to 9 volts and the truck started stumbling, the low voltage also took out my glow plug control module and 3 glow plugs. Also as you probably know a battery can show good voltage but have a dead cell. Good luck
Well update. Crazy things. After about 30 seconds of cranking it fired up! Sounded Like you would expect a 20 degree heui system to sound like probably a little sticky injectors. Let it warm up for a bit then I drove on the highway. Totally fine! Feels like it should. Talked to the owner and he said fuel filters haven’t been done in 2-3 oil changes. I’m thinking that’s all it is. I pulled this up on my scanner it just says fuel pump% and it’s constantly at 99.98%. Does this mean the fuel pump is struggling too?
Can you track down the actual Ford name for that PID?
