some of the newer trucks you can disable the auto regen function until you need to regen. If towing or heavy hauling that maybe 1K miles or better between regens.

But they will need def sooner rather than later. Adding def is not an issue though and is available everywhere. When I am on the road I just buy at the pump at truck stops so it is convient too.

With almost 11,000 miles on my 23, over 3,000 miles towing, I am very happy with my truck and do not see any reason for deleting. The regen is done in 10 minutes or less and it doesn't matter where you are driving, mine has completed it on the highway as well as neighborhood streets, just leave it alone and it functions perfectly. DEF usage ranges from 450 mpg around town to 300 mpg towing, if you are heavy on the throttle it will be less. Be sure to post pics.
