We all know that those with problems are usually the ones who posts more on these forums. I would really like to hear from those people who have NOT deleted their trucks, and how many miles they have gone with theirs. I had a 2012 F-250. 180k miles when I sold her. Original DPF system. No issues. I've seen posts on here where people are already talking about deleting their brand new trucks, and I just don't understand why. You don't really gain anything regardless of all the "tuners" out there. The truck runs fantastic as it is, and the technician have done a lot of research. So this is NOT for a delete/or not argument. I would just like to know those that have left theirs stock and how long they have gone with them.
I have a '19 6.7 and it is mostly stock. I haven't deleted only for the sole reason of passing inspections. If that weren't a thing, I'd delete it in a heartbeat. I'd be specifically happy to lose the EGR because that, in my opinion, is not a good thing for the engine's overall health and performance. It's literally feeding the engine it's own excrement. The downstream exhaust stuff is just sensors and a filter (albeit an expensive one) but, aside from dumping fuel into the cylinders for regen, I don't see those are really hurting the engine but I'd love to ditch those also and not worry about the complicated electronics. It's great yours lasted to 180k however, in the grand scheme of things, that's not all that long. There are plenty of gassers out there lasting just as long. Diesels can and should run much, much longer than that.
I realize it's an emissions thing. I was just wondering who has NOT deleted and how long it lasted. I imagine if my DPF system was to develop problems, I would probably choose to delete, as a replacement is over 3500 bucks. You can get a pretty decent delete and tuner for that price. But I can tell you one thing. If you ever want to trade it in, you'll have a hard time finding a dealer to do that. And from what I've seen online, the deleted trucks don't get as much as the stock ones on the used market. Again, not an argument on the pros and cons.. just information gathering.
2017 F250 just about to hit 40k problem-free miles. I change the oil every 5k miles and run EDT in every tank of fuel. I did put a throttle controller on it and can’t imagine needing to delete and tune. Once you get full control of the stock power, these trucks are amazing!
2017 F250 here.....almost 100K miles/2700 hours/600 idle hours i and no mods at all. Only issue was an NOx sensor that went bad around 5k miles and replaced under warranty. If I did delete, I would want a stock tune.....the truck makes plenty of power as it is.

You might try changing the title (don't know if that is possible) to something like "Any high mileage, stock diesel trucks?". You don't want a discussion on deleted trucks. You want to find experience with stock trucks.
Well, my 2012 F250 PSD had 214K on it, all original emissions still functioning when I sold it.
I did have to replace a bad DEF pump at 88K.
I replaced the F250 with a 2015 RAM Cummins, it had 608K miles on it when I sold it last year, all original emissions still functioning on it.
It did get a new SCR Cat under recall, it had about 180K on it at the time, but after that no more big issues, just a NOx sensor replaced at about 250K.
Of course, my trucks see almost 100% highway miles and very little idle time, which makes a difference in emission component life. Also makes for the least stress on the truck as a whole, over a truck that is used for short trips and lots of stop and go traffic.
These trucks are hamstrung with thousands of dollars that you pay in equipment that literally reduces the lifespan in the name of lowering emissions. You pay really big money for the components that go into destroying your engine prematurely. This happens not by laws made by elected representatives, but by lifelong beaurocrats that are not accountable to the voting electorate. They intend to strip you of your ability to own a diesel powered product in the end. They don't have to face re-election for the decisions that cost you money and take away liberties that you currently enjoy.
17, 85k miles, not deleted, no issues other then a coolant hose o ring and the cold side charge pipe split. upgraded the pipe and man the extra boost is awesome. soon as i have emissions problems i'll delete. truck is a city truck, lots of short drives, lots of trailer miles, etc.
Unless you want to make some obnoxious noise or its for exhibition there is no reason to delete.
Diesels ran for many years without emissions and didn`t make tons of noise or scream for exhibition. Many people who delete aren`t after either of those things. Just because you see a few obnoxious people rolling coal, you jump to the conclusion thats all deletes are about...
