Ford quit making this plate a long time ago. You may still be able to find a old TSB on it. They had a smaller repair plate and the larger one that Bronco Graveyard sells. When Ford quit making them, there was a guy on one of the other boards that had one of those machines that cuts metal with a water jet. He got hold of an original repair plate and copied it and started making them on his machine. He might have fissled out, I am not sure, but now Bronco Graveyard sells the same duplicate plate.
From what I have seen on the boards, this plate is not the easiest thing to get installed, but it does fix the problem.

I installed the smaller Ford reinforcement plate. It does have flange with holes to bolt to the tunnel, but the plate is thick and when anchored to the other bolts in the streering column base and the master cylinder it's pretty solid. The instructions said the tunnel bolting was optional if needed. But if you do bolt to the tunnel a right angle drill would probably be needed. That Bronco plate looks a little lighter guage so maybe the tunnel bolts are more important?
So my truck actually had the Ford reinforcement plate but went ahead and took that one out and put the bronco reinforcement plate in which was a pain. I got it all done today and tried to bleed the clutch a few times but nothing still the clutch never gets any better. I’m scratching my head now and a little disappointed lol. I guess I’ll just replace my slave and master even though they’re like a year old maybe that’s what’s messed up. I don’t want to just start throwing money at it blind.

When you checked for master movement away from the firewall how far did it move?
Where the tunnel bolts installed on the original Ford plate?
How exactly did your clutch issue start?
Does the pedal go to the floor and stick or does it return?
When my master went on my truck it did not leak. But when the slave went it did leak.
The master barely moves it moves less than a 16th. They were not installed on the original Ford plate I removed that Ford plate and put in the new one. My clutch issues started with the pedal getting soft and having trouble shifting. The pedal goes to the floor and sticks. I went under my truck and saw a little fluid on the boot of the slave and when pressing the pedal the slave makes noises.

Slave is likely toast. There should be zero fluid leaking. Unless it dripped down the hydraulic line.
