Once again the Ranger is on idle at the Michigan assembly plant starting Feb 4th for 1 week because of the continued chip shortage. This pushed back my scheduled production for my Ranger from March 7th week to the week of March 21st.
From other sources it appears other Ford Plants will be idle as well, not just the Bronco and the Ranger.

Yep, here’s another article. There is a lot of people on the Super Duty side getting production delay notices. My Super Duty build date is February 15th. I’m hoping it holds. If it does, it will be 6 months of waiting. I just ordered the Ranger and hope to have it by June.

ha, i am in almost the same boat, I’m looking at ordering a basic 2wd super cab for a prerunner build, and I have an F250 on order that has its March build date pushed back three times already.

I have no confidence if I ordered a ranger today it will be here before September. Maybe my barebones build will flow through quickly, who knows.

 

If it’s any consolation, my F250 was delivered today. It took 5 months and 8 days.

I am told Ford is no longer taking Ranger orders for 2022 year models.

im trying to buy a new leftover 2021 & it’s thousands cheaper than any used one no matter the miles.

How long of wait on a 2023 if ordered ?

 

The announcement that I saw was May 2023 as the start date for the '23 Ranger.

 

May 2023 or 2022? If they wait until May 2023 to start building 2023 models they just as well so away with the 23 model and go straight to the 2024.
