chnged my tranny fluid and stripped out the thread on the trans pan putting the plug back in it. Anyone have a good method for re thread with a bigger bolt or using a helicoil or another successful method?
AOD/E/70W pan all interchange, I think the aftermarket one I picked up for the '01 Lobo was $30 with a drain plug as the OE did not have a drain plug. The E4OD/4R100 are the same and seems all 4R have a drain pan from me nosing around. Not sure on the C6, but the few OE pans I have seen had no plug.
I suppose you could clean the pan, weld a nut and go larger too. Depends how much time you have to spend. I guess you could even hold the nut in the pan and tighten the drain plug at the same time to get on the road quick.
