Literally just replaced the one on my 5.4L Expedition yesterday. Exact same PCV valve, but I had to replace the hardened beyond belief grommet it fits into in the valve cover as well.
F6AZ6A892BA for the grommet. My local dealer had it in stock for $9.80 out the door
It looks like someone replace the PVC valve for the one that’s in there doesn’t have the tubing around it. And they let the old one with the tubing around it just laying there I guess they connect the coolant from point a to point B. I’m guessing from reading above that it’s two separate parts the tubing and the valve itself? I live in North Carolina near the coast down south do you think is pertinent to have it back to the original?
The coolant tubing, coolant rubber lines, vacuum lines, new clamps for coolant hoses and new vacuum boots all come with the new valve as an assembly. You can, however, just buy the valve itself and hook all your old stuff to the new valve. All my vacuum boots were split and leaking.
It looks like someone just stuck a new one in without the heating tubing attached and left the old one connected to the tubing not in the engine block.
There is a clip that holds the coolant/heated tubing to the PCV. Pry it off, remove the line from the old one, slip it over the new one ,and put the clip back on.
