Alarm lockout

Good morning everybody. I am attempting to install a new dash in a 2009 f350 5.4. The dash lights on the old dash would not shut off so figuring it to be an ignition switch issue i found a nice lariat dash. once installed i attempted to start it with the lariat key and fob and it is in alarm and will not turn over. the key seems to be a door key bit not sure. Let me know any ideas. thank you.

I suspect the PATS is in the BCM and to use the Lariat Key, you would need to have PATS reprogrammed. Try changing the lock cylinders to your old key and then try starting the truck.
