So my SCSB 7.3 4x4 is 2 lbs heavier on the front axle than the 6.2. I see the 40-50 total difference but most of it is on the rear axle so it isn't the engine that weighs more.
I doubt many people order the heavy service front. Since I couldn't get the camper package with my KR, and since I was going to attach a Ranch Hand Legend to the front (like 330lbs), I had two options , but didn't feel it was worth the plow prep in Texas. It likely didn't need any help with the front, but I figured it couldn't hurt. My '20 F250 FX4 7.3 with Camper Package had 4600 front GAWR, IIRC.
I had ordered the heavy service front, Joe T obviously ordered it too... I must say I am glad I went with a snow plow prep truck instead as my truck with the plow mounted is 5300 on the front axle.

I'm confused. Did you get the heavy service or the snow plow prep? Or are these different trucks?

Yeah, I can’t explain that, other than Ford doesn’t always get its spec guides correct. AFAIK, the base F-350 SRW 6.2 and 7.3 share the same 10-speed AT and otherwise have the same rear axles and springs….
Another complication is the F-350 XL 6.2 comes with a 650 CCA battery and the 7.3 is equipped with a larger (and heavier) 750 CCA battery.
I believe the 7.3 comes with 1+ front springs compared to the 6.2. I think its only 150lbs heavier or something around that. I would stick with the stock springs unless you plan to add a large front bumper.
Your trailer will be fine with your f250 king ranch 7.3. Will come with a 2.5” 15,000/1,500 hitch and most will recommend a W/D hitch to help with keeping it all even.
According to the Order Guide (2.5” Built Ford Tough® Trailer Hitch Receiver F-250 (less HD Trailer Tow (535)) or 3” Built Ford Tough® Trailer Hitch Receiver F-250 – Diesel with HD Trailer Tow (535)
Since I have a 7.3 250, I guess I will have to wait and see I do have the Ultimate Package with trailer tow.
For towing, particularly in mountains, I'd order a 4:30 differential because a 3:55 with larger tires is more like a 3:33. As another said, consider if you might get a larger camper.
Just for argument sake, a 6.2 with 4:30 might tow as well as a 7.3 with a 3.33.
FWIW, my camper package helper springs engage at approximately 2 1/2 inches.
It looks like the Camper Package is only available on the KR with DRW-

If you are wondering if your truck will come with a 2.5" or 3" hitch, it will be a 2.5". The only 250's that come with a 3" hitch is the 6.7 with the HCTT package. (Note that this package cannot be added with a gas engine.) Gas trucks don't get the 3" hitch until 350 DRW. The Ultimate Trailer Tow package only includes the 360 camera's, PTBA **** and lane keeping. It doesn't actually do anything to help the truck tow more/better... it just gives you extra camera's and gives you that PTBA **** if you decide you don't want to use the steering wheel to back a trailer up... lol.
Also, IIRC, the camper package isn't an option with 20" wheels. This was another reason I wanted 18" wheels. I actually added the snow plow/camper package to my 250. I wanted the extra suspension upgrades, which is the same suspension on a 350. I ended up with 5990 front springs. Here's my door sticker. (My 250 with 6.7 also has a 3016 lb payload!)
i would think a Super Duty weighing more with a longer wheelbase than a 1/2 ton would help with the trailer trying to “push” the truck.
Before I ordered my Super Duty I made it a point to talk to a lot of folks when at campgrounds that towed with half ton trucks...I made it a point to walk up and introduce myself and start talking with them... and they all said basically the same thing... yeah, it got us here, but that's it. And we live in a relatively flat area, although there are some hills here and there that are short and steep. Not trying to make this a 3/4 vs 1/2 ton argument, but everyone I know and have talked to that pull campers around 6000-7000 lb range with half tons would rather have something bigger. Then, when building out 150's and 250's on the Ford site, I noticed that the price of a 150 came to be the same as a 250 by the time I added all the towing features to it. I will admit that my 250 is way more truck than I need, but I'm happy to have every bit of it, and no way would I have been happy with a 150, or any other half ton, like I am with this one.
Saying all of that, I do have one friend that swears by his F150 with a V8, however, he pulls a small pop up camper and I don't believe he has had anything bigger hooked up to it...

No DRW, it's a SRW, 2022, F250, Antimatter Blue, XLT Value, CCSB, 6.7L PSD, 4x4, 3.31EL w/HCTT & snow plow/camper package (as well as a number of other options, however, they are creature comforts and don't increase the towing capacity of the truck). This configuration does come with the 3" hitch receiver, and I have the Anderson WDH with the 3" shank hanging off the back of the truck!

Ahh. 6.7 diesel? Wondering what front springs or rear, my 7.3 Godzilla with the 20” wheels comes with.

Well said this is exactly why I went with a 3/4 ton. Been towing our travel trailer 3 years with 1/2 ton can’t wait to receive my 250. I also opted for the camper package hopefully I get it before the end of April.🤞🏻
