Final update-
I got the shaft machined and the spacer washer installed. The mainshaft went together well and I ended up with .004 endplay which is great. I installed replacement roller bearings as well since a couple of the old ones were sketchy. The cluster gear with the new thrust washers went in quite well and ended up within spec on endplay ()
