I've got a 15 F250 6.7, i've heard through the grapevine that the CAC pipe can be problematic on these trucks. I'm adding a DPK kit, and will likely have this tube off, should i replace it with something else? Any make or model that people go with? Am i just hearing things and should leave it alone?
Thanks in advance!

the cold side tubes blow out on rare occasions. You can fly it and watch it and if it craps out, play the steerer come get me on the side of the road game
or, you can replace it when the money starts to burn a while in your Pocket.
why does it blow out for some and not others. Who know.
i have an aftermarket replacement waiting for good weather so I can install it.
some folks would rather spend their money on lights, wind deflectors, and mud flaps….others buy DPK, cold side pipes, and keep spare egt sensors and the like in their don’t leave me on the side of the road box.
Replaced mine with H&S at 22k after Rodney lost one at not a whole lot more miles. I'd rather not take the chance of being stuck on the side of the road with the 5th wheel hooked up. I also carry a full tool kit, rear axle speed sensor (D80) and spare belt. To each his own on this one, but I prefer the peace of mind.

Yes replace it with any aftermarket kit that uses silicone and aluminum piping instead of plastic like the factory unit. Over time the plastic becomes brittle and will blow apart under heavy boost. We all know a turbo diesel can't get out of its own way without boost so a failed factory pipe will leave you on the side of the road.
