ride height question

There's likely a million threads like this, but such a generic question yeilds too many results.
Anyone with a completely stock 4x4 F350 tell me the height to the bottom of the rockers?

a completely stock one thats been kept at proper air pressure, perfectly maintained, kept in a garage even, moved daily to keep the tires from flatspotting as if a ritual, even brand new ones put on just to measure...

would be lower than the day it was made because things compress, springs sag esp if the truck was heavy, etc... but it wouldnt be much in that hypothetical
there are trim height specifications in the FSM what year are you thinking about? Also ford TSB for leans and sags prob have the specs to

Height of any f350 4x4 in half decent condition. Not super critical, just something I'm working on.

a 2021 f350 wouldnt be very helpful to you tho. the years options spring pack etc all affect. your truck has a spring code on the door jamb label, what is it? I think you could google based on that and see if any ones posed it on that specific pack I guess

Given which subforum I posted it in you could reasonably assume that I wanted the information for an 87-97 F350.

I dont assume intelligence

Ive seen things, man.

Also, I see questions about buick roadmasters in buick park avenue forum space all the time.
Must be the LT1 fever

Anyway, correct, you are prob asking about 87-96 but you still didnt answer what i asked about for your spring code. My truck has a light spring set, a heavier equipped one would prob sit up higher than mine

Not exactly what you asked for, but here's a measurement I took before I did any mods that would affect ride height. Stock 235 tire size

That should do him just fine, he can compare to his and then he'll get an idea of his is riding high or low. In the rear that same measurement should be 2" more, so about 40" between fender lip and pavement.

you should have a label similar to this design on the door frame that says Axle and then a letter or code of some kind below it
mine says 18

my bad, springs. mine is kg

I dont have an F350 but I was asking for his spring option because Then someone else can compare either in the data or compare against theirs. if they had a HD rear with helpers and overload and etc vs the smallest weight rating, the truck will likely sit a different trim height. especially if springs are longer vs shorter etc

They all seem to sit at the same height empty tho. Ford put stiffer springs under heavier trucks (for example a diesel crew cab vs. 351 regular cab), but if they ain't loaded most 4x4 F350s between '87 and '97 will have measurements close to the above.

Overloads don't affect these trucks as they don't touch the frame pads until the rear sags down about 2" if I remember right. Spring lengths are also pretty identical across the board once installed.

Shock eye to shock eye will give the best measurement
I have 3 stock height F350s. They all measure between 18-18.5"
