Bonehead Question?
What is the difference between a highboy and a non-highboy truck? I'm looking for a truck '75-'79 3/4 ton 4x4, and I have some advertised as "Highboy". This truck will not be a daily driver just someething to play with. Thanks for any advise, and please excuse the the bonehead question.

A "high-boy" is a F-250 4x4, from the late 60's through the early 1977 model year. They have a 4" block in the rear, and have positive arched springs up front (more like 2.5"-3"). They have a divorced transfercase, and low pinion dana 44 front end. And they have this weird hydraulic assist steering system. Check the FAQ up top, I think there is a thread on this 
A "non High-boy" 77.5-79 is just the opposite. No "lift", married Tcase, high pinion dana 44, integrated power steering.
"High-boy" also refers to mid 30's style Ford hot rods.
