I have a 2000 f350 dually 4x4 v10..I was told 285/75r6 would fit no problem. .ok I was good with that but now I come across a good deal on some 17 inch rims, and tires I want are 285/70r17 grabber x3..now my question is I shouldn't need any type of level or lift to switch to 17s right..the tires are same size as the r16s..thanks for any info..
welcome to FTE.
the 17's will fit, but give a little stiffer ride due to smaller sidewall. the sidewall of the tire is what gives you a smooth ride. the taller the sidewall, the smoother the ride. the smaller the sidewall the stiffer the ride.
