I have a 2001 F250 with a 5.4 4x4 auto. I am getting a code 500 speed sensor A. Which one is sensor A? I have replaced the one on the rear end. I replaced both ABS wheel sensors. I have replace the one on the rear of the trans. I am getting a signal out of the ABS module on the gray and black wire. I do not have any transmission codes. Where does the gray and black wire go after it leaves the ABS module? Thanks for any help

I have found the most common problem with P0500 is the wiring from the diff to the frame rail, because it flexes with the suspension. One time a wire was broke along the frame rail under the cab. I put a signal generator on the wire at the sensor and start following them up. Power Probe make the tool you need.

P0500 = VSS Malfunction.
The vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is located on the top of the rear differential on your truck. Pretty easy to remove, clean or replace as needed. As mentioned above, also check the wiring.
