I know it has been discussed on here a bit, but nothing helped for my issue. I went to have the code read, and it was no signal from the rear ABS speed sensor. I replaced the sensor, and the light is still on. Also my speedo is off a bit. It is reading about 7-10 miles an hour faster than what it should. The mechanic can't seem to find the issue. SO I am coming to the guys and gals that know more than them. I have a 06 F250, Powerstroke.
Did you have the codes re-read after fixing the rear sensor? I had the same problem on my F150, rear sensor code, replaced it, but the light stayed on. I re-read the ABS codes and then poof front right sensor was bad too. I had read that the ABS system doesn't compile all codes, once it has a fault it was stop on that error and produce the code. Once you resolve it, it cycles itself and could find a new code if you have more than one problem.
Also just as a second thought, when replacing my rear sensor a lot of people recommended checking the contacts on the wiring plug itself, I guess it is prone to wear too and can also cause an bad sensor code when it's just the plug or part of the wire.
