battery light +
Battery light stays on. Charging gauge seams accurate. Checked wire to alternator, clean now and well connected. What else am I missing?
Also parking brake handle broke off in my hand.Where would I get another one? Temporarily rigged a wire with a washer handle. Thanks for any info. John

Don't trust the gauge in the cluster.
Did you use a multimeter or voltmeter to check for voltage at both battery terminals?
Did you use a multimeter or voltmeter to check for voltage at the B+ terminal on the alternator?
Is the connector on the alternator secure and are the contacts clean?
How do the wires coming from the alternator connector going into the harness look and test?
Did you recently perform any maintenance in any of the battery or charging circuits?
Did you use a multimeter or voltmeter to check for voltage at both battery terminals?
Did you use a multimeter or voltmeter to check for voltage at the B+ terminal on the alternator?

It's possible your alternator is going out. My kept the light on like that and I found out it was overcharging the system.
Before you buy anything, check the wiring out and test things with a multimeter like Sous mentioned.

Thanks. Busted P brake handle, any thoughts? I have exhausted my google capacity for that specific part. No need for the cable just the handle. Thanks

Not sure if the handle is available seperate from the cable. I didn't find it when doing a quick search. I did find a universal parking brake handle that you could probably make work with some super glue.
