Tire Rack appears to have a couple 18" wheel options that would work to retain the 4.5" backspacing that we currently have with the OEM 7" wide +1" offset wheels:
KM522 ENDURO (9" wide, 0" offset)
XD811 ROCKSTAR II (9" wide, 0" offset)
Custom Offsets also has some options, including some 20" wheels. A lot of those are 10" wide wheels. I've heard they are good quality. I know nothing about the Tire Rack brands.
Does a 9" or a 10" wide wheel present a problem using it with the Excursion?
So I am running the 16x10s on mine and they fit perfect, no rubbing, and no cutting needed, the -25 offset ones push 2 inches of the width outward so its only actually slightly more inset then the factory wheels are.
Think about it this way, -25mm offset is 1 inch. You take the wheel, add 1.5 inches to each side to make it 3 inches overall wider, but then you push it outwards 1 inch, so its only half an inch more inset then the stock wheels.
The wider wheels made a major improvement to cornering and handling in general, the truck is a ton more stable in tight curves and sharp turns.
