Question wheel straightening

My sister-in-law rolled over a curb in her new Focus. She has aluminum wheels, I was curious if wheel shops do straightening. The bend is slight, and is located on the outer lip of the wheel. I would hate to see her have to buy a new wheel if it can just be tapped back to round again. There are no driveability issues either.

if it didnt cause the rim to be out of round then yes. in others words if it didnt cause any vibrations. I have straiten the outside edges of rims before with a hammer. although I dont think I have done it on an aluminum wheel before. I have only done this on steel wheels. If you take it to a tire shop they should be able to do it by laying a rag or something on it to protect the wheel. I dont know if the aluminum will look real good at the spot where it got bent but they should be able to straiten it. GL
