Hey all, I recently started a Youtube Channel, BarnBuiltBeaters. This channel's main focus is my Dentside, a 1978 F250. I know I am in the Bumpside forum, but I am assuming that just like me, there are many of you that love both the bumps and the dents.
I have many plans for my truck like a modern frame and a cummins swap for the extremes. I know this has been discussed many times both in the dentside and bumpside sections and hoping to answer many questions as I can. Now unfortunately those plans are put on hold as I build my shop. This is a complete gut and tried to think of everything I could include during the renovation.
Here is a 2 minute video showing my truck, my shop (although not complete) and, the quality of my workmanship. If you like what you see, the most recent video is also linked below.
Had a '67 F250 in the early '90's but was talked into selling it. Drove my father-in-laws '76 F250 for several years after he passed. Just bought a '91 F150 for $850 cause sometimes you just need a truck.
I found it in Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula. It's not perfect, but... I used my 2017 Subaru Outback to launch my boat in saltwater this summer, shook my head and started searching for a truck. I had to buy tires that cost as much as the truck because the ones on the truck were weather checked. New shocks, front brakes, heater core, thermostat, a serpentine belt, and fluids will get me going.
Where are you located? I used to live in Coupeville, WA over on Whidbey Island, made the trip over to Port Townsend on the fairy 100's of times. That is a great looking low miles truck with a great 300 4.9L 6 motor. Is it a stick or C6 trans?
Hi old28, I'm in Sequim. I've definitely paid more for worse ( a certain 1968 el Camino comes to mind. Internet sellers lie!) I'm just going to get it reliable and take care of some neglected maintenance.
